Crystal Geodes

A Geode is a rock with a hollow cavity containing crystal formations and/or concentric banding. Its name is derived from the Greek word geoides which means "Earthlike". When a Geode is completely filled it is called a nodule.

Every Geode has a unique lining of crystals and minerals which vary in color, size, shape, etc. These crystals are most commonly Clear Quartz, Amethyst or Citrine. The crystals are often surrounded by Agate, Calcite, Chalcedony and/or Jasper, amongst many other minerals.

Metaphysical Properties

Geodes are believed to amplify the energies of the crystals within them. They are also a great aid in meditation, group work, communication and protection. These cave-like structures also help with creativity, decisions, serenity, compatibility, cooperation, tolerance and spiritual growth. Geodes can reduce emotional tension, discord, and negativity. They balance and strengthen all Chakras.
